    I wanted to send this note earlier but with the current situation and lockdown I’ve not been able to do so. My apologies for that.

    After 3 to 4 months of critical care, my father in law passed away earlier this month. We as a family are extremely thankful to the nursing staff who were with him throughout and did everything possible to make him feel comfortable and cared for.

    We did hit a rough patch at the start but your intervention helped a lot and we’ve not had to worry about quality thereafter.

    While there were quite a few staff members who were involved (Laxman, Monto, Ebby) and very good at their work, in particular we have a deep sense of gratitude for Mr. Jabin who has consistently been with him from day one. Mr. Jabin was assigned to take care of my father in law while he was still in hospital and he took all efforts to match the quality of care just as they were doing in the hospital. Till the last moment, he was there with our family and has gone above and beyond his duties. It was extremely touching to see how he developed a bond with his patient and would care for him as one of his own. The more I say is less when it comes to Jabin and the way he has taken care of him is exemplary.

  • I would like to appreciate the support provided by the Portea Luckow team during this crisis time.
    I have been taking services from your organization for almost over a year now, have faced few minor issues earlier but the kind of support the team provided in this testing time when the whole medical support is closed is exceptional and laudable.
    My father was admitted in hospital on 20th March and was in ICU and was forcibly discharged on 25th March while being monitored in ICU. I was not getting any support from any of the hospital then I called Rakshit for help. He immediately arranged for a 24 hrs nurse assistant at home. He gave me confidence to overcome the change of managing my father at home. He has been in constant touch with me providing help, guidance and facilitating medical supplies at home. Looking at the criticality of the patient he made a home visit and took cognizance of things , guided the NA asked him to take proper care and even help my mother in home care also.

Lymphoma Cancer Definition

It is the cancer of the lymphatic system that affects the white blood cells known as the lymphocytes. These are the cells which help in fighting against the diseases in our body. Further, their role is crucial for maintaining a good immune system throughout the body.  In Lymphoma cancer, the cancer cell begins in the lymphocytes. As it has its presence in the bloodstream, it can spread rapidly to different parts of the body.

For its occurrence, the lymphoma cancer can occur to any individual and at any age but it is one of the most reoccurring cancers in youngsters between the age of 15 to 24 years and in children.

Lymphoma Cancer Symptoms

Generally, the signs and symptoms of lymphoma are a lot similar to common cold but the Lymphoma Cancer Symptoms continue for a much longer period of time unlike a cold.

In few cases, people will have no symptoms but can feel swelling of the lymph nodes. The lymph nodes are present all over the body including the neck, abdomen, and armpits. The swelling is painless.

In most of the severe cases, misjudging the Lymphoma Cancer Symptoms can lead to misdiagnosis which can further complicate the treatment.

Other Symptoms of Lymphoma includes:

  • Fever without Infection
  • Frequent Weight Loss and Appetite
  • Itching throughout the body
  • Persistent feeling tired and lack of energy
  • Feeling pain in the lymph nodes after consuming alcohol
  • Chills and Night Sweats

Additional Symptoms which show the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma include:

  • Shortness of Breath
  • Swelling and pain in the abdomen
  • Coughing for a long period of time

Lymphoma Cancer Causes

Normally, cancer is caused whenever there is an increase in the growth of abnormal cells and they spread rapidly. Instead of dying, they continue to spread and don’t die like any normal cell does.

The Lymphatic tissue is connected throughout the body. And, if there is the formation of cancer cells in the body, they will develop in the lymphatic system too. Spreading from their base location, they can spread through other organs which are outside the lymphatic system. Most often, Lymphoma spreads in the bone marrow, lungs and liver.

The Lymphoma Cancer Causes are unknown but there is a range of risk factors which are associated with it. 

Lymphoma Cancer Stages

The stage of the Lymphoma cancer defines the extent up to which cancer cells can spread. The staging system is helpful for treating most types of lymphoma. In few cases, even stage 4 lymphoma cancer treatments can be done successfully.

  • Stage I: Any of these conditions applies:

Cancer is found in the lymph 1 node region.

Cancer has occupied the extra-lymphatic organ but not to other lymph node regions.

  • Stage II: Any of these conditions applies:

Cancer occurs in two or more lymph regions on the similar side of the diaphragm.

Cancer spreads through one organ and its lymph nodes on the same side of the diaphragm.

  • Stage III-IV:

In this stage, cancer spreads to both sides of the diaphragm and will spread throughout the body. Most often, it spreads throughout the liver, lungs and bone marrows. Still, Lymphoma Cancer Stages are treatable and patients can also go for lymphoma cancer home treatment.

Lymphoma Cancer Types

  • Hodgkin Lymphoma: cancer affects the lymph node one after another.
  • Non-Hodkin Lymphoma: It arises in different lymph nodes while skipping some of the nodes.

Considering the United States, the lifetime risk of getting the non-Hodgkin lymphoma is around 2.1 percent. And, the risk of getting the Hodgkin lymphoma is around 0.2 percent.

Lymphoma Cancer Treatment

Treatment of the Lymphoma Cancer depends on the stage and the type of lymphoma the patient is suffering from. Any slow-growing lymphoma can be treated by lymphoma cancer home treatment to some extent. Biologic Therapy

Steroids

These can be injected for treating lymphoma.

Lymphoma Cancer Diagnosis

Till date, there is little or no recommended lymphoma cancer screening tests. But if a person is suffering from viral symptoms, they must consult a doctor. The doctor will ask the patient about its medical history, family history and will try to understand the condition. The lymphoma cancer diagnostic test can even be done at home.

Along with the physical examination, the doctors also ask for the different lymphoma cancer tests. The inspection process involves checking different parts such as neck, groin, armpits, chin, and abdomen.

Further, doctors will look for signs of different infections near the lymph nodes. And if found, the lymphoma cancer care will be started at the earliest.
